Build an exposure-control system
Identify tasks that may involve blood or other potentially infectious material, decide how exposure will be reduced, provide suitable equipment and make the procedure easy for every team member to follow.
Train and refresh
Training should be relevant to each role, supported by induction and refresher sessions, and updated whenever equipment, procedures or legal duties change.
Review incidents and near misses
A good reporting culture helps the studio respond quickly, support the exposed person and correct weaknesses without hiding mistakes or relying on blame.
